Nursing Chapter

On February 20th, 2007, The Nursing Chapter of Southeastern Community College Alumni Association (SCCAA) held it's kick-off meeting at Alpha's in Fort Madison. After a light buffet, Becky Rump, SCC Executive Director for Institutional Advancement, called the meeting to order. Carol Oppenheimer welcomed those in attendance before Glenda Moeller and Diane Aliprandi gave their thoughts about the Nursing Chapter. Mary Ann Philp and Cheryl Fye gave a history of nursing at SCC and it's predecessors.

Before election of board members, attendees introduced themselves and shared their educational history and professional experience. After the introductions, board members were nominated. 12 persons were nominated, but two gracefully declined filling all 10 board member positions.

Were you unable to attend the kick-off meeting and asking How can I help? The board is looking for volunteers for committees and is always interested in new ideas for CEU offerings and ways to help in the community.
