The first SCC Nursing Alumni Reunion was held June 19, 2010 at the Paddlewheel Lounge from 3pm-5pm. Food and beverages were provided. Door prizes were drawn throughout. Two $50 gift certificates were also drawn with Cindy Johnson (Omaha, NE) and Angie Hedges (Burlington, IA) as our winners. Old pictures, uniforms and medical equipment was on hand to look through along with a video of the new Sims Man that is being used by the Keokuk and West Burlington campuses to help students hone in on their nursing skills. Thanks for all that attended. Many attendees asked that there be another reunion as it was fun to connect with previous classmates and instructors. So keep your eyes tuned for plans of the next SCC Nursing Alumni Reunion. You don’t want to miss it!

The Dan Ring Memorial Scholarship Bike Ride was help September 26, 2009 starting at the SCC West Burlington campus. Prior to the bike ride, a new bicycle parking area was dedicated.
